Adam Lambert has just kicked off his Glam Nation tour, but he's just confirmed he'll return to the studio this fall to record a second album. The season 8 American Idol runner up told Connecticut radio station WKCI fans can expect a sophomore album next year. "We just had a big meeting with my record label," Lambert confirmed. "There might be some more music that comes out of this [current album], but definitely in 2011, the plan is to do a new album." (Listen to the full radio interview below.)


Lambert's first album For Your Entertainment, which was released in November 2009, has been a huge success internationally selling nearly 200,000 in its first week and debuting at number 3 on the Billboard 200. As of this month, the album has sold more than 660,000 copies. Three singles have been released from the album, including "Whataya Want From Me" which is currently the most played song on the radio from any American Idol.

Lambert shot to fame during his run on American Idol. Despite being the show's runner up, Lambert found sudden - and what appears to be lasting - fame thanks to his outlandish performances and showmanship.
